as hound dogs kill the blood doesn't spill
just to prove themselves the hounds of men
oh the madness in the natural ways taking course
and keeping the balance of the land
lost, adrift and tangled in debris
swaying to the rhythm of the sea
of another year we got to see
one more falling of the leaves
indeed many things do come to pass
but tell me what ever lasts
besides the presents of the present forever waiting
for us to tear off the wrap
bottled truths remaining to be freed
swaying to the rhythm of the sea
of another year we got to see
one more falling of the leaves
and forsaken daughters, wives and sons of lovers
were once held dearly before they fell one the same
and the penniless crawlers up to their knees in mud and water
at least got answers to their prayers of rain
maybe i'm a dreamer but aren't we
swaying to the rhythm of the sea
of another year we got to see
one more falling of the leaves
